What People Are Saying about Andie James
“There's a certain kind of writing that I really enjoy that provides a very cozy, warm feeling, kind of like a warm hug. For a lack of better term, I think of it as "gentle writing." It just makes you *feel good.* You just know that you are going to be OK, the characters are GOOD people and they are going to be OK, it's all going to work out, just sit back and drink your favorite beverage and no matter what is actually going on in real life, this author has your back. Andie James has been added to my list of gentle writing authors…”

“Ms James plays with the idea of independent women in a time and setting when that was against social norms. This is a thought provoking read while thoroughly entertaining.”

“A sweet, well researched period romance! I enjoyed how the politics and issues of the times were woven throughout the story. Several plot points came full circle in a very satisfying way.”

A Statement from Andie: Why I Will Never Use AI . . .
As Generative AI images and covers become more prevalent, I feel the need to take a definitive stance on the issue and make clear where I stand.
I will absolutely NEVER use AI generated images in either the design or promotional materials for my books. Period.
Generative AI tools were built using the designs of artist without either consent or compensation, and almost always, without their knowledge. I feel if I were to use an AI generated image I would be supporting and complicit in art theft.
I intentionally use a cover designer, Erin Dameron-Hill of EDH Professionals, who is also committed to never using AI images and is scrupulous in where she sources her images from. And honestly, with designs this gorgeous—who needs AI? (I'm seriously so in love with my covers 😍)
That said—It is getting harder and harder to tell what images are, and are not, AI. I only pull images from sources I know to be reputable, but things are changing all the time. So, if I ever do slip up and use an image that turns out to be AI, I will take it down immediately and hope you know it was used unintentionally. Please don't cancel me (it is a writer's greatest fear)!
Having stated all of this, I hope it goes without saying that I will also never use any kind of Generative AI when creating and writing my books. You can trust that my words and stories are all my own.
